A new venture
Under the banner Art Apart Studio, Monmouthshire based artist Malcolm Drysdale has created this gallery to showcase his work in fine art and photography. Malcolm is a chartered landscape architect by profession but more recently has turned to painting and illustration to explore themes of landscape and the natural world. Customers can browse the gallery and place orders directly through the website. Whether it’s a gift for family and friends, for the home or an office, Art Apart Studio can offer unique and original fine art for all settings and occasions.
Typically the artwork is first produced as a pencil sketch then developed through watercolour washes for depth and contrast, finally ink is used to provide detail and interest. The Studio then works in close collaboration with Davies Colour Prolab in Cardiff to ensure print making of the highest quality. The artwork is digitised and after capture at 300ppi carefully colour balanced to match the original. Prints are produced on heavyweight art paper and selected works are also available printed on canvas.
Alongside fine art reproductions the Studio also prides itself on a range of dramatic landscape photography. Prints are produced on high quality gloss paper. The fine art photography range is also available on hand stretched canvas for a truly authentic look.
All orders are processed, invoiced and despatched UK and worldwide direct by the printers.

Newport Transporter Bridge One of only two such bridges in Britain Newport Transporter was opened by Lord Tredegar on September 12 1906. Built to improve access to the east bank of the Usk where the steelworks were sited the bridge stands as an iconic landmark for Wales and a testament to engineering skill and design.
